Speaking to the media, Y Somananda Singh, Academic Dean of Damdei Christian College strongly refuted the claim of NRFM and termed the allegation as a challenge to the educational sector, and the student fraternity of the State.
The Academic Dean also said that the whole college authority, teaching faculties, non-teaching staff, and the students know very well how obedient, honest, and talented Seigunlal Misao was.
He asked the NRFM the true motive of killing the student instead of throwing baseless allegations.
The Academic Dean further said that Seigunlal Misao was very punctual and had no record or complaint over his morality.
Seigunlal Misao's classmate K Sennu Lhouvum said that his friend was kind-hearted and never engaged in activities related to drugs.
Sennu Lhouvum also refuted the allegation of NRFM.
Senior of the deceased Haominthang Sitlhou maintained that Seigunlal Misao was the only hope and good son of his poor parents.
He asked why the Government is not booking the culprits when NRFM had already claimed responsibility for the attack.
Meanwhile, the College Principal, Lamgoumang Sitlhou said that Seigunlal Misao, a student of Class XII (Arts) who was murdered on March 25 was a rule-abiding and honest student.
The College Principal also pointed out that Seigunlal Misao came from an economically backward family who always struggled to clear his academic fees on time.
He said that the deceased could have cleared his fee on time if he indeed was a drug peddler.
The Principal also appealed to the State Government to nab the culprit at the earliest and award appropriate punishment as per the law.
