Demanding result declaration of the 2019 written test (Multi Tasking Staff) of the Education (S) Department, several candidates stormed the Chief Minister's Secretariat at Babupara today.
The incident took place at around 11 am.
The candidates who appeared in the written test assembled at Sanjenthong and stormed towards the CM's Secretariat raising slogans.
They (the candidates), however, were intercepted by the police near the Bungalow of the Chief Minister and pushed back to Sanjenthong.
Speaking to the media, one of the candidates said that the notification to recruit the Multi-Tasking Staff of the Education (S) Department was first issued by the Congress Government in 2016 before the BJP Government issued a fresh notification in 2018 .
The written test was conducted on March 10, 2019 .
Saying that most of the candidates who gave the written test couldn't apply for other Government jobs due to age factor, he asked whether the Government is going to declare the result or not.
He also said that they have submitted a memorandum to declare the results to the Chief Minister, Education Minister and BJP MLAs, the response of which is still pending.
He then said that they will launch different agitations after the Class XII examination if their demand is not entertained.
