MLA inaugurates open gym, hands over 'patta'

Sagolband MLA RK Imo inaugurated an open gym developed at Sagolband Sayang Pukhri Mapal Park under Chief Minister's Indigenous Martial Arts Academy, and handed over land holding documents for four plots to Lai Committee and Leikai Shinglup on Wednesday.
Speaking as chief guest at the event organised by Usha Bhavan Club, Sagolband Sayang, MLA RK Imo pointed out presently it is hard to find open space to develop parks or playgrounds in the constituency.
The small ground near Sagolband Sayang Pukhri Mapal was chosen for the project, he said while urging the public of all ages to take benefit of the open gym.
The MLA further said that the government has approved a proposal for beautification of the park and renovation of Sayang Pukhri.
Development works will begin shortly, he informed, while adding that the club building will also be renovated within the current year.

Rk Imo said, he received proposals from three Lai Committees and Shinglup of Sayang for transferring land plots in their respective localities which they have been using for Lai Haraoba and community hall construction.
He brought up the proposal and the state cabinet approved the same while asking to pay a token premium for transferring the land.
The, plots include pond for Shree Shree Bijoy Govinda, sacred sites of Lainingthou Amudon & Yumjao Lairembi, and plot for Sayang community hall, he said while urging the respective committees to pay the token premium.
The MLA also spoke on various development initiatives taken up in the constituency, both ongoing and completed, and added that he is now diverting his attention towards beautification works of the constituency.
Usha Bhavan Club vice-president Thingom Indrakumar, club advisors Akoijam Ibotombi and Thingom Tombi were also present at the event.
