Liangmai students' union demands arrest of Leilon villagers

Imphal, March 29 2023:
While condemning the "barbaric and unlawful act perpetrated against innocent civilians of Konsakhul village at Leilon Vaiphei village on March 26", the Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi, Manipur (LNKR-M) or Liangmai Students' Union, has drawn the attention of the chief minister of Manipur to immediately arrest all the culprits involved in vandalising the JCB excavator and burning down of a two wheeler.
The students' body also urged the chief minister to immediately arrest all the culprits involved in abduction and assault bf innocent civilians with an attempt to murder them.
The LNKR-M further urged the chief minister to immediately suspend the officer in-charge and other police personnel of Leimakhong police station "involved in harassment and physical assault of the innocent victims" and demanded compensation for all the losses in the incident.
The LNKR-M also urged the chief minister to acknowledge the rights of the landowner of Konsakhul and ensure justice at the earliest.
