FPS agents suspend protest

Two days after shutting down the office of Ukhrul CAF&PD office, protesting FPS agents have suspended their agitation.
The development came after the agents reached an agreement with the department officers on Tuesday.
The agreement was reached between the agents and district supply officer (DSO) Singhajit Singh and assistant district data manager Dishingam Gonmei.
As per the agreement, the margin money under NFSA was entitled to the FPS Agents from April 2021-March, 2022 and the amount would be released on or before April 15.Subsequently, the agents agreed to suspend their agitation and opened the chambers of the DSO and assistant district data manager.
Earlier on March 27, the agitating agents representing all the 101 agents of Ukhrul AC who operated during the 2019-2022 period, stormed the CAF&PD office located inside the district mini secretariat.
They demanded the authorities to release their outstanding payment under NFSA for 12 months from April 2021 to March 2022 and that of PMGKAY special package & transportation from May 2020 to March 2022.They had warned that they would not allow the office to function till their demands are fulfilled.
