State BJP all set for Seva Pakhwada

BJP Manipur Pradesh has lined up a number of activities including blood donation camps within 'Seva Pakhwada: A Fortnight of Service' in celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday which falls on September 17 .
Speaking to media persons at the Nityaipat Chuthek office of BJP Manipur Pradesh here today, BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary and Seva Pakhwada in-charge P Premananda said that in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message to serve the people instead of celebrating his birthday by sharing sweets and other merry-making activities, BJP Manipur Pradesh has made all arrangements to observe Seva Pakhwada under the supervision of Chief Minister N Biren and party president A Sarda.
On September 17, the birthday of Narendra Modi, blood donation camps would be held at 12 locations.
A directory of blood donors including N Biren, A Sarda, BJP Ministers, MLAs and party leaders would be released at the party's office at 9 am tomorrow, Premananda said.
People who need blood can call blood donors/party workers from hospitals by seeing the directory which would be sent to Medical Superintendents of hospitals.
All the people who need blood would be given blood at hospitals from September 17 to October 2, Premananda said.
In Imphal East district, CAF&PD Minister L Susindro would open a blood donation camp at JNIMS at 10 am by donating a unit of blood.
In Imphal West district, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan would open a similar blood donation camp at RIMS.
Agriculture Minister Th Biswajit and PWD Minister Govindas Konthoujam would also donate blood and open blood donation camps at Thoubal and Bishnupur respectively, he said.
MLA Ngursanglur would open another blood donation camp at Churachandpur.
Cleanliness drive, health checkup camps at remote places, interaction with doctors and nurses working at 120 vaccination centres, State level seminar on Prime Minister Narendra Modi are some activities lined up within the Seva Pakhwada programme, Premananda said.
He said that the State level seminar on Narendra Modi would be held at City Convention Centre on September 21.Extension of aid to TB patients for one full year with the aim of eradicating TB from the country by 2025, distribution of artificial limbs and hearing aids to differently abled persons, exhibition on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's life and mission, plantation of tree saplings, a programme on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on September 25 and listening to Prime Minister's Maan Ki Baat are some other activities which have been lined up for the fortnight, Premananda said.
