Congress discusses SHADC impasse

Home Minister Gaikhangam who is also MPCC president has said that the impasse within the Sadar Hills ADC was discussed recently in a meeting of the Congress party's core committee including the Chief Minister.
The core committee meeting held after collecting opinions of many Sadar Hills ADC Members decided to go ahead with the ' internal arrangement'.
All the Members were also told to bear with the arrangement for sometime and that they should not think of challenging it.
As of now, Haokholal Hangsing has been serving is the Chairman of the ADC, Gaikhangam said.
On being enquired about the third front mooted by some 'Members, the MPCC president who is also Tribal Affairs and Hills Minister said that the question of third front would not arise when Congress party is running the Council.
Haokholal Hangsing was made the Chairman as he was supported by majority of the Members after sharp divisions cropped up during the chairmanship of SH Seipu.
Even as the new Chairman has not completed two months in office, another group of dissidents started sowing seeds of turmoil.
Subsequently, SH Seipu was terminated from the party's primary membership while three other members were kept under suspension by a decision of the core committee for their anti-party activities, Gaikhangam stated.
