UPSC 238th ranker W Punshiba felicitated

A felicitation ceremony was held in honour of Wairokpam Punshiba Singh at Nambol Bazar Community Hall today organised by Development and Protection United Voluntary Organization (DPUVO), Nambol.
Wairokpam Punshiba, who hails from Thounaojam in Nambol AC, successfully cleared the Civil Services Examination 2021 conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) securing the highest rank from the State at AIR 238 .
The felicitation function was graced by Th Basantakumar Singh, Minister of Education, Law & Legislative Affairs; T Khaba Khuman, president, DPUVO; Dr W Robindro Singh, Principal, S Kula Women's College; DPUVO advisors, Y Nabakishore, T Ibochou Singh, M Ibohal Singh, Dr Kh Shamungou and L Shantibala Devi, president, Nambol Apunba Nupi Lup.
Wairokpam Punshiba Singh was honoured with a simple gift from DPUVO.
Aside from this, local clubs and organisations across Nambol as well as private individuals also stepped up to felicitate Punshiba with gifts.
Speaking on the occasion, Th Basantakumar said that it is a matter of pride for Manipur that punshiba secured such an impressive rank at one of the most competitive exams of the country.
He added that his achievement will be inspirational to the youths and students of Nambol.
Wairokpam Punshiba also addressed the gathering and asserted that in order to succeed in competitive exams of this nature one must be strong-willed, determined and have empathy.
