DMU teachers' workshop starts

A two day workshop on pedagogy and assessment tool preparation of college teachers of Dhanamanjuri University kicked off today at Central Hall of GP Women's College, Imphal.
The workshop under the sponsorship of Department of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur is being organised by GP Women's College in association with DM College of Teachers' Education, Imphal.
Vice Chancellor DMU H Deleep Singh, Registrar DMU Dr L Nevidita Devi and Principal GP Women's College Dr Rajkumari Tamphasana attended the inaugural function of the workshop as presidium members.
Speaking at the event as chief guest H Deleep lauded the contribution of all stakeholders in the functioning of the Dhanamanjuri University.
With many issues plaguing the State's education system and DMU being a newly instituted university, there have been many hurdles, he said emphasising the need for collective work and co-operation to further grow the varsity into a successful one in par with other top universities.
Talking about the required infrastructure of the varsity, he said that construction works are on.
The varsity will soon be able to function in its full capacity once the constructions are finished, he said.
