Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy : Ph Jotin shines with bat and ball as PTRC crush OSCAR by 186 runs

Ph Jotin struck a ton and completed a record 8 wicket haul to ensure PTRC, Patsoi romp past OSCAR by 186 runs in today's Group B league match of the ongoing 1st MCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy at Heinoupok Ground.
Ph Jotin blasted off 104 runs off 64 runs in the first innings after PTRC opted to bat first and Nongdamba (21), Joyraj (16) and Ravi Sahu (13) made their names on the scoresheet to stack up 234 runs for 9 in 28 overs.
Nikitan of OSCAR enjoyed a 5 wicket haul in this innings but could not control the rival run rate as he offered 57 runs in 5 overs while Chandeshor, Abhishek and Lallu picked up 1 wicket each.
OSCAR however crumbled at 48 runs in 11.2 overs in the chase as Ph Jotin wreaked havoc across their batting line to claim 8 wickets alone in 6 overs including a hattrick giving 9 runs.
Amit who struck 11 runs off 15 balls was the highest run gatherer for OSCAR while Raj and Chandeshor managed 7 and 6 runs respectively before other batsmen fell easy prey to bowling attack of PTRC led by Ph Jotin.
Bunty (2 balls) and Mordekalo (2 overs) of PTRC also dismissed 1 wickets each in this innings.
Ph Jotin was eventually named man of the match.
PTRC will meet CYCLONE at Heinoupok in the next match at Heinoupok on May 1 .
In the Group A league match played at Langthabal Public Ground, TCMDC cruised to a 7 wicket win against Model Club.
Model Club which won the toss and elected to bat first, managed only 80 runs for 10 in 20.1 overs as TCMDC, Thongju bowlers were simply unstoppable.
Bishorjit top-scored with 26 runs in his named while Alison added only 10 runs before their batting order faltered in quick succession.
Abhijen of TCMDC was pick of the bowler as he scalped 3 wickets alone in his spell of 4 overs while Kalyan picked up 2 wickets.
Rinku and Arbin also took one wicket each to help their team hold the Chingamakha side to a meagre total.
TCMDC struggled in the beginning of their chase which saw Arbin go back to the stand with 20 runs off 18 balls but Kalyan and Tondon combined well to steer their team to the target in 14.2 overs scoring 15 and 13 runs respectively.
Ishan of Model Club claimed 2 wickets in this innings while Kelvert had one wicket in 4 overs.
Kalyan of TCMDC was adjudged man of the match.
YUC will meet TRAU in a Group A league match at Langthabal Public Ground on April 30 .
