NSUC condemns arson at St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Sugnu

The Naga Students Union Chamdil (NSUC) strongly condemned the cowardice act of senseless miscreants who burnt down St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Sugnu in Chandel district on April 25, said a statement issued by NSUC.
Resorting to burning educational institution undermined the right to basic education for the hundreds of children who were negatively affected by the act of arson, added the statement and maintained that it is a colossal loss for the entire society as education is the main factor for intellectual excellence and prosperity.
The statement added that constructive dialogue is the only way to move forward towards amicable solution concerning any matter while adding that exercising one's authority in a manner that results in the destruction of temple of learning is uncalled for and highly condemnable.
Expressing that NSUC and its constituent units stand in solidarity with St Joseph Parish, Sugnu at such moment of sorrow and grief, it appealed the law enforcing agencies to punish the perpetrators in a befitting manner, added the statement.
