Kangpokpi, September 11 2015 :
The 24-hour total bandh along the Trans Asian Highway No-1 or National Highway (NH- 2) within Sadar Hills imposed by Joint Action Committee (JAC) Sadar Hills severely hit normal life and affected vehicular traffic.
Suspected bandh enforcers damaged the wind screens of two passenger wingers that defied the bandh at Sapormeina early Friday morning at around 1:30 am.
One passenger auto rickshaw bearing registration number MN06S-9745 was also completely torched at around 2 am.
All shops and business establishments in the entire area from Taphou Kuki village to Gamgiphai were completely shut while Government offices wore a deserted look.

No vehicular movement except those exempted from the purview of bandh was witnessed along the highway.
State and Inter-state passenger buses, wingers and commodity carriers were off the roads rendering the highway bandh complete.
Several bandh enforcers converged at Taphou Kuki village and Gamgiphai to curb the traffic flow.
Speaking to media persons at Gamgiphai, Lamtinthang Haokip, Co-Convener JAC Sadar Hills said that "movement of loaded trucks is expected along the highway late night and in the evening.
So we instructed our volunteers to be alert and they are well prepared at the two strategic locations." He said no vehicular movement will be allowed till the bandh culminates.
The JAC Sadar Hills Co-Convener however did not disclose what will be the future course of action when the 24-hour total bandh ends on Friday midnight.
"We will inform the public about our next agitation which will be much more intense", said Lamtinthang Haokip.
Except for the Sapormeina incidents, there was no other untoward incident reported till filing of this report.
