Mao Catholics reach out

Senapati, September 11 2015 :
Mao Catholic Association (MCA), extended monetary relief to the landslide affected villagers of Phesama along the NH-2 route today, our correspondent reports.
A team of MCA executive members, accompanied by Reverend Father Theo Thomas Lakara, Parish Priest, St Mary's Catholic Church, Punanamai, handed over monetary assistance of Rs 1,05,000 (one lakh five thousand rupees) to Phesama village leaders at the village today.
The amount were donated by over 30 Mao Catholic Churches in Senapati district.
The visiting team also extended solidarity to the affected families which lost their houses, properties and land in the landslide.
