Relief Team flagged off

A landslide relief service team comprising of Compassion Manipur and Thadou Students' Association (TSA), General Head Quarters was flagged off today by Yanglet Haokip, National Council Member and Core Committee Member of BJP Manipur State from H Kotlenphai village, Chandel, our correspondent reports.
The relief team will visit the landslide affected villages under Khengjoy sub-division and provide relief assistance to the displaced villagers of Joumol, Hollenjang, Tujang, Tolbung, P Chehjang, Moltuk, N Wajang, T M Dingpi, Hengkot, Phaiphengkot and Maokot village.
TSA GHqs advisor Jalun Haokip, general secretary James Thadou, Thadou Baptist Association executive secretary Rev P Sitlhou and TBA Pastor Rev Letkam attended the flag off program.
Speaking to media persons, Lulun Thadou, information secretary, TSA GHqs, said the Relief Service team will visit the recent landslide affected villages under Khengjoy Sub-Division to oversee the conditions of the villagers.
During the visit, the team will provide medicines, tarpaulins, etc.
as relief assistance to the people of 11 displaced villages, he added.
The team will also accompany villagers of Joumol to their village.
The villagers have been taking refuge at a relief camp near Sugnu after landslide washed away their village.
Necessary arrangement have been made for their transportation to their village for resettlement.
