Lamka, September 11 2015 :
Churachandpur district, which has been literally under siege since last week following the passing of three Bills by the State Assembly that have been dubbed as 'anti-tribal' is still reeling under severe restrictions as the JAC has decided to relax their restriction only till 10 am tomorrow.
As the JAC resumed its protest from 12 noon today, the streets again wore a deserted look while there has been no let-up in dharnas from women groups demanding a separate political administration for the State tribals.
The district diesel auto-rickshaws' association meanwhile joined the protest against the three Bills as well as the call for a separate administration, with more than a thousand diesel-autos staging a rally along Tiddim road from Kawnpui village to Kangvai and from Kangvai to the district hospital.

At the district hospital the auto-drivers paid their respect to the nine tribal martyrs and made monetary donations for the bereaved families.
The auto-rickshaws hoisted black flags as well as posters denouncing the three Bills passed by the Assembly.
They also condemned the killing of nine innocent people and called for a separate administration outside the Government of Manipur.
The JAC has in a statement issued late in the evening announced their intention to relax restriction for 5 hours tomorrow.
With a view to better streamline the tribal movement, the general strike will be relaxed tomorrow from 5 am to 10 am, said the statement.
Shops and establishments are requested to remain open during these hours.
The bandh will however resume from 10 am until further notice, said the JAC.
