Many speakers from various non-Manipuri communi- ties and village chiefs strongly opposed the three Bills during a simple function held during the dharna.
SL Paokhosei, ex-MLA and advisor of Leimakhong Area Chiefs' Organization while speaking to media persons sought the realistic sense of the common clique "Chingmi Tammi Amatani" from the State Government as well as the majority community leaders.
Whose language is "Chingmi Tammi Amatani" ? Is it the language of the hills people or the valley people? asked the former MLA.
'Chingmi Tammi Amatani' is only a stylish discrimination, witty and shrewd words of the Chief Minister and other leaders from the majority community.
Therefore, the tribal populace now want to know the true meaning of "Chingmi Tammi Amatani" in the realistic sense, averred the former MLA.
He also pointed out that it is time for the State Government to value the life of its people while sincerely condoling the bereaved families of the tribal Martyrs.
Slogans such as "Ibobi Government Down, Down; Tribal MLAs Shame, Shame and We condemn- the three Bills" were shouted during the demonstration.
A one minute silence was also observed to show respect to the sacrifices of tribal martyrs.
