Grace colony
Grace Colony authority expressed gratitude to Dy CM Gaikhangam for extending financial help for repairing a portion of damaged Tarung road and donating relief materials for flood affected people.
GC authority also thanked social worker Jyotin Waikhom, Tarung Women Society, former MLA Kh Joykisan and DC, Imphal West for providing relief materials including food items.
Power supply
The 132/33 KV sub-station, Yaingangpokpi would be shut down from 8 am to 12 noon of September 13 for strengthening the Bus Bar Conductor at the sub-station.
During this period of shut down, power supply to consumers of Ukhrul and Imphal East would be affected, conveyed a press release issued by Deputy General Manager, Sub-Station Division No II, MSPCL N Jasobanta.
MU tests
Admission test for MA (Political Science) will be held on Sept 17 at 2 pm in the old Social Science block, MU.
Entrance test for admission to M Sc (Physics) fixed earlier for Sept 14 has been rescheduled for Sept 19.Admission test for MCA, MU will be held on Sept 22 .
Special classes
Special classes of BA and B Sc in respect of GP Women's College will be held on all Sundays from Sept 13 for the current semester.
This is to make up the loss during the ILPS agitation in Imphal, informed the college principal.
Literature societies
Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Manipur will extend financial incentives to the recognised tribal literature societies of Manipur for publication of text books for recognised tribal languages for the year 2015-16.Last date of submission of application form is Sept 29, according to a notification.
MMKS celebrates
Manipur Mahila Kalyan Samiti on Friday held its Golden Jubilee celebration at its Head office at Kabo Leikai, Dewlahland, a statement informed.
MLA Okram Landhoni Devi, Padmashree Rajkumar Jhalajit Singh and Professor Ksh Bimola Devi graced the celebration as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Founder and senior members of the Samiti were honoured during the celebration.

All Manipur School Students Transporters' Association will distribute petrol to School Students Transporters tomorrow at Bakriwal Enterprises petrol pump from 5 am.

Kha-Manipur College appeals
The Kha-Manipur College, Kakching has appealed to the Government to expedite the passing of the bills for payment of the college staff at the earliest.
The College further claimed that some bills have been held up indiscriminately and to stop such practices immediately.
Disaster management training held
A three-day disaster management training for village chiefs, members, councillors and leaders was conducted at the Women's Society Hall, Nungourok village, Chandel under the aegis of the Directorate of Civil Defence, Manipur from September 9 to 11, a statement issued from the Directorate's office informed.
Over 50 participants attended the three-day training course.
Bed Net Impregnation prog held
The Network of Economy and Welfare Services (NEWS), Kumbi conducted 'Bed net impregnation' programmes at Kumbi Terakhong Mandop, Aged Home, Kumbi, Kumbi bazar and Kumbi Kangjeibung Mapan on Friday with an aim to control mosquito transmitted diseases, a statement informed.
Over 250 bed nets were impregnated with Deltamethrin, a pest control product, during the programme.
