Auto rickshaw owners hold protest rally against bills

Hundreds of diesel-auto rickshaw owners took out a protest rally against the passing of three Bills by the Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 31.The auto rally was organized by Churachandpur Diesel Auto Owners' Association (CDAOA) and was flagged off by local pastor Rev Lallailar Mawia from Phing Kangthi village.
The rally passed though T Khangvai Villages and later culminated at District Hospital, Churachandpur.

The autos displayed placards which read "We don't want Ibobi Government"; "We oppose the three Bills"; "We want separate administration" and "We salute to the nine tribal martyrs" .
The auto owners also extended financial help of Rs 10,805 to the family members of those who were killed in the recent protest.
