All 8 candidates to be in fray for Inner LS seat

Imphal, March 29, 2014:
All eight candidates, whose nomination papers to contest the 16th Lok Sabha election in Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency have been cleared by the Returning Officer, would be in fray in the Lok Sabha election for Inner Manipur scheduled to be held on April 17 next month as none of the candidates withdrew their candidatures till 3 pm today on the last day of withdrawal.
Accordingly, the Returning Officer of Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency K Radhakumar has allocated the serial numbers and symbols to all eight candidates, namely Dr T Meinya (INC), Dr RK Ranjan (BJP), Dr M Nara (CPI), Dr G Tonsana Sharma (MDPF/Independent), Dr Kh Ibomcha (AAP), Sarangthem Manaobi (TMC), Oinam Jotin (Jai Maha Bharath Party) and Oinam Indira(Independent).
Sl.No.1: INC's Dr T Meinya (69), s/o (late) Th Tarpan of Joypur Khul near Khumbong in Imphal West.
His symbol is "Palm".
Sl.No.2: BJP's Dr RK Ranjan (62), s/o RK Nilamani of Kongba Nandeibam Leikai in Imphal East.
His symbol is "Lotus".
Sl.No.3: CPI's Dr Moirangthem Nara (63), s/o (late) M Ton of Tentha Khongbal in Thoubal district.
His symbol is "A Bunch of Paddy & Sickle".
Sl.No.4: Jai Maha Bharath Party/Independent Oinam Jotin (33), s/o O Gunamani of Chingamakha Oinam Leirak in Imphal West.
His symbol is "Candle".
Sl.No.5: AITC's Sarangthem Manaobi (58), s/o (late) S Khoimu of Thongju Part-II in Imphal East.
His symbol is "Grass and Flower".
Sl.No.6: MDPF's Dr G Tonsana Sharma (69), s/o (late) Modhumangol of Lairikyengbam Leikai in Imphal East.
His symbol is "Torch Light".
Sl.No.7: AAP's Dr Khwairakpam Ibomcha (43), s/o (late) Khoidong of Thamnapokpi under Moirang Police Station in Bishnupur district.
His symbol is "Broom".
Sl.No.8: Independent Indira Oinam (39), d/o (late) Chaobhal of Thoubal Wangmataba WIGC Complex.
Her symbol is "Balloons".
Meanwhile, the Returning Officer of Inner Manipur K Radhakumar met the candidates at his office chamber at Lamphelpat here today.
The RO has appealed to all candidates to strictly observe the election model of conduct and avoid untoward incidents during the polls.
