Imphal, March 29, 2014:
The Left and Secular Alliance, formed by 10 political parties, is contesting the Lok Sabha election not only to win the Inner Lok Sabha seat but also to give vision of the State's future, stated LSA candidate in Inner Manipur P/C Dr M Nara.
Speaking at an election meeting held today at Hiyangthang Awang Leikai under the aegis of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa NCP Block, Dr Nara said that there would be no one-party Government in India after the 16th Lok Sabha election.
Reacting to the jeer made by some parties that CPI is being supported by 10 small political parties, Dr Nara said that unification of like minded parties can bring a huge change.
The alliance was made not only to win the ensuing election but also to give a vision of the State's future, he asserted.
CPI and NCP are making seat adjustment with due approvals from the central leaders of the two parties.
People know that no single party can secure absolute majority and they have started looking for parties other than Congress and BJP.
The ensuing election is a battle for heralding a social change.
People are now fed up of the Congress rule which is more akin to contract system.
The ten parties joined hands to save Manipur and bring a new, clean governance, Dr Nara said.
Former Adhyaksha S Subhashchandra said that Dr N Nara can defeat the Congress candidate and he would secure more votes in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa A/C than his Congress rival.
Blaming Dr Th Meinya for not doing any significant public work during his long years as MP, Subhashchandra called upon the gathering not to commit the blunder of re-electing the Congress candidate.
BJP candidate Dr RK Ranjan was also involved in corruption cases, he asserted while questioning BJP leadership's wisdom to put up Dr Ranjan.
