Rape slur denied

Mother of Ngamiyon (27), who has been accused of raping a 24-year old girl inside the Sentry room of IBSD Takyel on March 16, has strongly denied the charge against her son while also expressing strong suspicion that her son was framed.
Speaking to reporters today at Manipur Press Club, Martha, mother of Ngamiyon said her son and the victim are lovers.
The evidences of both of them sharing a close relation including text messages and letters are with the police.
Ngamiyon and the victim's father worked together as private security personnel at IBSD.
"Even he did not submit his monthly income to us," Martha said.
Ngamiyon had once given Rs 15,000 to the father of the girl to bear the expenses of her Class X Board exam.
Besides, there was an instance of the girl's parents demanding Rs 6000 from him, she pointed out.
Martha further said the girl's parents had demanded Rs 5 lakh to settle the case even as the girl pleaded them to marry the accused.
While strongly refuting the charge against her son, Martha also expressed suspicion that her son was framed.
The accused Ngamiyon was pulled up by police on March 25.Ngamiyon hails from Sugnu but staying at Sangaiprou.
After registration of FIR 16/2/2014, due investigation has been initiated under IPC Section 396 .
