Naga Conclave 2023 concludes

Senapati, April 12 2023:
A two days Naga Conclave, 2023 organised by United Naga Council (UNC) concluded on Wednesday at Maram Union Secretariat, Old Monday Market, Senapati.
Delivering the keynote address, Ng Lorho, president UNC stated that the conclave was organised as per a resolution passed during the Naga People's Convention held in the later part of March, 2023 .
In the first session, L Adani, ex-president UNC, gave a Powerpoint presentation on "NPC Declaration, 2010 & Alternative Arrangement" while Samson Remei, vice president Naga Hoho displayed a Powerpoint presentation on "District creation/Mushrooming of organisations'' .
In the 2nd session, G Gaingam, ex-president UNC and S Kho John, advisor & former president UNC gave power point presentations on "Indigenous issues" and "NRC/Population Commission" respectively.
The second day continued with a paper presentation on "Tribals and issue of Land & Forest Rights in Manipur" by K Timothy Zimik, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Retired), Ministry of Finance (Revenue), Government of India.
Daniel Ramsan, advocate Manipur High Court and Home Raikhan, IRS (Retired) also gave powerpoint presentations on various topics.
A series of interactive sessions participated by Naga leaders, intellectuals, parliamentarians and ex-parliamentarians was also conducted during the conclave.
