Two Health and Wellness Centres inaugurated at Saikul

Kangpokpi, April 29 2019:
Health & Wellness Centre (HWC) of Molkon and Utonglok, the first of its kind in Kangpokpi district were inaugurated under Community Health Centre (CHC) Saikul today.
The two HWC were inaugurated by Dr S Manikanta Singh, State Mission Director, State Health Society Manipur in the presence of SDC Saikul Sub Division and CMO Kangpokpi.
Dr S Manikanta Singh graced both the inauguration ceremonies as chief guest while Tongminlen Lhungdim, SDC, Saikul Sub Division and Dr Kimneng Misao, CMO/District Mission Director, Kangpokpi District attended as guest of honour and president respectively.
Speaking at the event, Dr S Manikanta Singh said that the two health centres at Utonglok and Molkon are the first of its kind in Kangpokpi district.
The two centres are part of "AYUSHMAN BHARAT", Modi's health scheme that provides health care scheme to the masses, he said adding that the Government is planning to provide accessible, affordable and universal health care to the public through the two newly inaugurated HWCs which will be manned by Community Health Officer, ANMs, MPWs.
He also assured to provide all possible help in installing necessary infrastructures of the two HWCs at the earliest.
Dr John Lupheng, District Nodal Officer, HWC while welcoming all the dignitaries and the public present thanked the State Health Society and all stakeholders who have contributed in upgrading the two PHSCs to HWCs.
Dr Kimneng Misao, CMO Kangpokpi and Dr John Lupheng, District Nodal Officer HWC also expressed gratitude to the SMD for their effort to address the plight of the villagers.
Meanwhile, SDC Saikul Sub Division, Tongminlen Lhungdim urged the public to support and avail the services render by the Health Department.
Dr Paotinlal Haokip, i/c Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kangpokpi who is also District Nodal Officer, NPCDS Kangpokpi; Dr John Lupheng, District Nodal Officer, Health & Wellness Centre and Dr Jangkholun Touthang, DIO Kangpokpi also attended the inaugural functions.
