Financial aid handed to Taekwondo player

Imphal, April 29 2019:
Alumni of Churachand Maharaj Higher Secondary School 1993-95 batch extended financial aid to Taekwondo player Ningombam Diana at her residence in Sagolband Tera Loukrakpam Leikai today.
The alumni, with an objective to encourage Diana to work hard and pursue her dreams as a Taekwondo player, handed over a sum of Rs 10,000 to her.
She is the daughter of Ningombam Ibungoyaima and Ningombam (o) Nalini.
One of the alumnus of Churachand Maharaj Higher Secondary School (1993-95 batch) who is now an advocate L Johny, while speaking to media persons, stated that it is rather encouraging that Diana sells fruit salad in front of Kanglapat so as to save enough money and can participate/play in the International level.
Lauding her will to fight for her dreams to play at international competitions, he wished her not to dishearten while assuring that all possible aid will be extended to her in the future.
He added that there are 70 groups of Churachand Maharaj Higher Secondary School.
Meanwhile, Diana expressed gratitude to Churachand Maharaj Higher Secondary School 1993-95 batch for extending assistance to her.
She remarked that there are numerous sports players and sports enthusiasts who are willing to devote and give 100 percent in sports but could not owing to financial problems.
She further added that they could also be motivated in such manner then they would bring laurels to the State.
