JAC meets CM

Imphal, April 29 2019:
Members of the JAC against the brutal killing of Khunjamayum Arun of Bamon Kampu Makha Leikai held a meeting with Chief Minister N Biren and Government officials at the CM Secretariat this evening.
Briefing media persons outside the Chief Minister's Secretariat complex after the meeting, the secretary of the JAC, Rajeeb Thangshabam conveyed that the JAC members demanded the State Government to book all the culprits involved in the murder of Arun and to award capital punishment.
Further expressing suspicion that more persons, other than the accused N Rabi and Kh Helena (wife of the deceased), might be involved in the murder, he informed that the Chief Minister had assured that the duo (Helena and Rabi) will be sent to judicial custody and charge sheet for the same case will be filed at the earliest.
He also maintained that the State Government has also assured to take up all the needful tasks for delivering justice in the murder case.
The JAC's future course of action will be decided tomorrow after the JAC holds a meeting with the locals of Bamon Kampu, he added.
Khetrigao A/C MLA N Indrajit and DGP, Manipur Police were also present in the meeting.
Mention may be made that Aran was found dead with his throat slit, in a paddy field at Bamon Kampu near Irilbung PS on April 23 .
