Imphal, July 30 2026: Taking inspiration from the recent Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest, social activist Rohan Philem has announced that a youth-led movement under the banner "Save Manipur" will soon be laun-ched in Manipur as well as at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

Addressing the media at the Manipur Press Club today, Rohan said that several youths from Manipur participated in the CJP protest that led to the resignation of the Union Education Minister.

He also said that the media played a significant role in covering the recent CJP protest.

He said that a youth-led movement would soon be launched in Manipur and New Delhi similar to the CJP protest against the Government's failure to restore normalcy in the State.

Rohan expressed confidence that the media would extensively cover their protest movement and help make it a success.

He further said that Hindus, Muslims, Christians and people from different religious communities participated together in the CJP protest in a show of solidarity, describing it as the movement's greatest strength.

Saying that he had communicated with CJP leaders regarding the proposed "Save Manipur" movement, Rohan added that they had received moral support from youths from different States.

He said the movement would begin in Manipur and efforts are underway to launch a parallel campaign at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi from the second week of August.
