A truck driver from Patsoi Part I Mayai Leikai, Naorem Manglemjao, who has been bedridden after sustaining some injuries, was transported to Guwahati by a team of Transporters and Drivers Council (TDC) in an ambulance today.
Naorem Manglemjao used to carry goods and essential items on his truck along Imphal-Jiribam road before he became bedridden.
He had also been provided financial aid, Hakselgi card and ration card by the TDC in the past as well.
Speaking to media persons TDC president H Ranjit said that TDC will try hard to ensure that Manglemjao is returned to his full health and is able to serve the people again.
Expressing belief in Manglemjao's swift recovery, Ranjit also announced that TDC will begin giving more emphasis to health related matters.
He then informed that a team of TDC was sent to Guwahati early today morning so that they can identify the best hospital in Guwahati.
The said team will also make necessary preparations to begin treatment as soon as the patient reaches Guwahati, he added.
