Imagi Meira calls joint meeting of CSOs, Meira Paibis

Imphal, July 30 2026: Imagi Meira (Icha Singgi Damak) has urged the public, CSOs and Meira Paibi lup to attend a joint meeting on July 31, 2026 at 11:30 am at Ema Panthoibi Community Hall, Thangmeiband Meisnam Leikai.

In a release, Imagi Meira said the meeting is convened after the 5-day timeline given in the memorandum submitted to the Governor, CM and Assembly Speaker following a three-day sit-in by Imagi Meira and Meira Paibis expired without action.

Key agenda include: convening a Special or Monsoon Session of the 12th Manipur Assembly, enacting the Manipur Indigenous People Act, adopting a resolution against illegal immigration, legal safeguards for village volunteers, and a resolution for justice and rehabilitation of victims.

Imagi Meira appealed to all to attend and take a united public decision.
