Annual get-together / Advent Christmas of Phungyar AC held

Kamjong, November 19 2022: The Annual Get-together cum Advent Christmas of Phungyar Assembly Constituency was held at Ramrei Eco-tourism Park today.

The programme was organised by the MLA of the Constituency, Leishiyo Keishing.

Water Resources Minister Awangbow Newmai; Transport Minister Khasim Vashum; Chiefs of the villages, former members of ADC, officials of Government Departments and members of women societies attended the event.

Leishiyo Keishing felicitated meritorious students of Phungyar AC who have passed the Class 10 and 12 exams with distinction and presented with cash awards and certificates.

Apart from the students, youths who have excelled in different fields were also honoured with cash prizes and certificates.

Addressing the gathering, the MLA stated that developmental works are being taken up in the Constituency in a phase wise manner and assured to provide water supply to every household by next year.

Regarding power supply, he said that almost all the villages have got power supply excepting few however such areas have been well-equipped with solar power.

Informing that planning to repair the village roads have been included in the financial year proposal, he called for cohesive efforts to make Phungyar a progressive and model constituency.

Highlighting the small population of the Constituency pose hindrances in bringing in developmental works, however he is making sincere efforts to take up as many developmental works as possible and to build good education institutions such as universities, well equipped hospitals to provide adequate health facilities to the people and so on, he added.
