LMG celebrates birth anniversary of benefactor of blind community

Imphal, April 27 2022:
Like Minded Group (LMG), Manipur in association with Longjam Brothers & Sisters Charitable Trust, Top Upokpi jointly organised an event in connection with the birth anniversary of Keke Wahengbam, writer, former announcer AIR, Imphal who has dedicated her life to the blind community.
The event was held at Thanga Ngaram Leikai Community Hall today at 10 am.
Attendees present at the event include Dr Kshetri Tama, Upadhyaksha Imphal East ZP; Ojit S, Secretary, LMG; S Sanathoi, proprietor, Solar Home Lighting System; Manglem W, proprietor, Khagemba Medical Store and Waikhom Medicos; Mandakini Takhellambam, eminent singer among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kshetri Tama stated that a society can only move forward when measures are undertaken for upliftment of differently abled people.
The Upadhyaksha also said that 20 blind persons had been presented with simple gifts.
Keke W addressed the gathering and urged the blind community to not be discouraged but instead focus their energy on tasks they can carry out.
S Ojit and Rakesh N also spoke at length during the event.
