Songs and plays to encourage people in quarantine centers

Imphal, April 05 2020:
To encourage people who are on quarantine in the context of containment for coronavirus disease (COVID-19), singers and artists visited different quarantine facilities and performed their numbers under the aegis of Department of Art and Culture.
Yesterday, a group of artists sang different songs by standing outside the quarantine facilities at Lamphelpat (Family Welfare Training Center) and Meitram (Unacco School) to cheer those who are isolated from the society for the greater good of the society.
On April 6, i.e tomorrow, Nokphade team will join the samaritan work and perform their play at different quarantine facilities to amuse those who have been kept for observation.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, Art and Culture Director, Ng Uttam Singh appealed to all people who have been exposed to the COVID-19 patients and currently not to lose heart and follow the guidelines laid down by the World Health Organisation.
