Relief vegetables distributed

Tamenglong, April 05 2020:
Chiuluan, Khangchiuluan, Duigailong & Dailong villages of Tamenglong district today provided free relief vegetables to the residents of Tamenglong Hill Town.
The vegetables were distributed today during the relaxed hours (1.30 pm to 4.30pm) at Tamenglong Town Medical Gate, IB Bazaar, Old Market, TBC and Council junctions.
Energetic women societies from Taudai Fellowship and Tamenglong Baptist Church(s) volunteered in distributing the vegetables to the residents of Tamenglong Town.

For this act of kindness, the District Administration of Tamenglong conveyed its deepest gratitude to all volunteers for aiding the public at the time of crisis.
And as a measure to make the COVID-19 precaution more stringent, the District Magistrate of Tamenglong district today issued an order to the public of Tamenglong that there will be no relaxation for the market including the groceries till next Sunday ie (April 12) with immediate effect.
Only medical shops, milk booths and newspapers hawkers will be allowed to open and function their duties during the lockdown.
Meanwhile, Tamenglong Autonomous District Council Member, Charles Liangdiyang also donated vegetables and essential food items to the Rapid Response Medical Team of COVID-19 .
