More than 33,300 youths to cast vote

Imphal, March 31 2019:
More than 33,300 voters between the age of 18-19 years will be casting their votes in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
A total of 19,39,244 voters will be casting their votes in the Outer and Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency election on April 11 and April 18 respectively.
In the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency election, a total of 10,10,618 voters (4,95,583 males and 5,15,022 females) will be casting their votes at 1562 polling stations.
The number also includes 13 third genders and 11,347 service voters as well.
On the other hand, a total of 9,28,626 voters (4,47,843 male and 4,80,751 females) will ne giving their votes at 1300 polling stations.
The said number also includes 32 third genders and 8838 service voters as well.
It may be mentioned that a total of 11 candidates and 8 candidates are contesting in the Inner and Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency election respectively.
On the other hand, the 2nd randomisation of EVMS to be used in the coming inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency election was held at the office of Imphal West Deputy Commissioner at Lamphel today in the presence of political parties and observers.
Representatives of the political parties also met the EROs as well to clear all possible doubts and queries.
It is also reported that necessary engineers have reached the State for commissioning of the EVMs to be used in the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency election and the said EVMs will be commissioned from April 2 .
