Senapati, August 02 2026: Vehemently condemning the brutal murder of six Naga hostages after they were abducted from Leilon Vaiphei village, the Naga Hoho has expressed grave concern over the alleged collusion between the Government of India and Kuki militant elements.

The Naga Hoho said that such alleged nexus is being instrumentalized to launch a proxy war against the Nagas, undermining the historical and political rights of the Naga people, and to sabotage the Indo-Naga peace talks.

The third federal assembly of the Naga Hoho held on July 31, 2026 at Senapati district headquarters took strong exception over the deteriorating security and political situation in Naga areas, specially Manipur sector.

The assembly expressed serious concern over reports and indications of planned cordon and search operations in Naga villages.

The assembly cautioned that any such indiscriminate operations will spark an atmosphere of fear and intimidation.

The Assembly reiterated that Naga areas must not be converted into a theatre of conflict.

The assembly took serious note of the inaction and alleged complicity of both the State and Central Governments in addressing the charter of demands pertaining to the brutal killing of six Naga men.

Taking strong exception to this deliberate denial of justice, the assembly resolved to initiate stringent democratic measures to secure justice for the victims and their families.

The Naga Hoho Federal Assembly demanded immediate cessation of militarization and military operations in Naga areas, and full accountability regarding the alleged nexus between the Government of India and Kuki militant elements operating against the Nagas.

The assembly also demanded immediate fulfilment of the charter of demands pertaining to the brutal killing of six Naga men, and intervention by the Government of India to safeguard Naga lives, land, and identity.

It further demanded a guarantee for safety and security of the public along the highways, and the resolution of all grievances through political and democratic processes rather than through militarization and coercion.
