Teachers and staff of Residential School Chingkheiching have urged the Government and authorities concerned to reconsider and revoke the disengagement order of the teachers and staff.
Speaking to media persons during a press meet held at the school today, Y Ganga one of the disengaged teachers strongly condemned the disengagement order issued by District Board of Education, Samagra Shiksha Porompat on January 30.She stated that the teachers and staff of the school should not be held responsible for the loop-holes in the higher authority.
Ganga said that the school was founded in 2013 along with 12 teachers at a rented place in Lamlong and an adhoc committee was formed with the then MLA of Khurai A/C as the chairman.
Therefore the teachers and staff of the school are not involved with the committee.
However in the recent disengagement order, it is mentioned that the teachers were appointed irregularly and the adhoc committee of the school was formed against the guidelines of the Government.
She continued that the teachers and staff should not bear the brunt of the mistakes made by the higher authority.
She appealed the Government and the authorities concerned to allow the disengaged teachers and staff to continue for the time being until new ones are appointed through proper process.
Students and guardians of Residential School present in the press meet strongly urged the authorities concerned to allow the disengaged teachers and staff to resume their duties and revoke the order at the earliest so that normal functioning of the school can be resumed.
