Ulamas seek Govt intervention

Ulamas (Mourubis) of the State have urged the Government to punish all those involved in the death of Ribash Khan of Thoubal Moijing and solve the case at the earliest in order to deliver justice to the bereaved family.
Speaking to media persons in a press meet held at the community hall of Thoubal Moijing, Alhaj Mufti Akbar advisor of Ittihadul Ulema Thoubal Moijing said that Thoubal police should carry out proper investigation against the apprehended persons in connection with the case and award befitting punishments to the culprits.
He condemned the killing of Ribash Khan and termed it as an atrocious act and added that Thoubal police should present a clear statement regarding the progress of the case to the public and the JAC.
He further said that on February 7, a public meeting of Ulamas will be held at Idigah ground at Thoubal Moijing.
A Baduwa (Curse) ceremony against the culprits will also be performed and requested all the Ulamas to attend the event.
