Theatre workshop organised

Imphal, July 19 2022: The month-long production oriented theatre workshop-2022 & production of 'Leelagi Ningthou' organised from June 15 by Kanglei Living Arts (KANGLA), Manipur under the financial assistance of Ministry of Culture's Cultural Functions & Production Grant Scheme-2022-22 concluded on Sunday at the Uchiwa Mayai Leikai, Imphal West district auditorium of KANGLA.

In a release, Kanglei Living Arts secretary Thounaojam Premjit informed that valedictory function of workshop, which actually concluded on July 15, was attended by Uchiwa GP Pradhan Heikrujam Indrajit, Kangla Uchiwa advisor RK Rajendrosana, Manipur Dramatic Union director Pebam Birkumar and social worker Gyanendro Mayengbam (Angangchouba) as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.

During the month-long theatre workshop gurus of different fields shared their experiences in folk music, dance, yoga, career guidance, film, martial arts (Thang-Ta), theatre, etc., to the participants.

As a part of the closing day function, the trainees performed group dances, folk songs and staged the production play 'Leelagi Ningthou' directed by Kshetri Sanajaoba, the secretary informed.
