6 new cases detected

Imphal, March 30 2022:
6 new COVID-19 positive cases (4 male and 2 female) were reported during the last 24 hours to push the State's cumulative number of positive cases to 1,37,093 .
The 6 new cases were reported from Imphal East (3), Imphal West (1), Churachandpur (1) and Kangpokpi (I), said a statement issued by COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesperson Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
As the 6 cases were detected out of 532 samples tested at various testing centres, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.1 percent.
The press release also informed that no Covid related deaths were reported during the last 24 hours.
As 4 persons were discharged today from home isolation (3) and CCCs (1), the State has 34 active cases as of today.
The recovery rate now stands at 98.43 percent.
The cumulative number of recovered cases is now 1,34, 935(1,29,928 general population and 5,007 central security personnel) .
As on March 29, a total of 281 D-type oxygen cylinders and 97 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State.
2279 doses of Covid vaccines were administered on March 29 taking the cumulative doses administered till March 29 to 27,84,162 (15,37,558 1st dose, 11,80,952 2nd dose and 65,652 precautionary dose) .
The State has achieved 50.45 percent of double dose vaccination.
Kangpokpi with 16.46 percent, Ukhrul with 23.39 percent and Kamjong with 27.64 percent continue to be the districts with the lowest second dose vaccination rate as on March 29 .
