Luwangpokpa T20 Trophy : WYC crush KCDO by 10 wickets for fifth win on trot

WYC-Wangkhem cruised to their fifth Group A win with a 10-wicket thrashing of KCDO-Kongpal in the 4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy today at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground.
WYC bundled out toss winners KCDO for 92 runs in 19.4 overs riding on impeccable bowling performances from Ruhit Nongmaithem 3/7, Wangkhem Laksmon 3/20 and Huirongbam Biteshwor 2/22 .
WYC then eased to winning 95 within 11.5 overs thanks to unbeaten first wicket partnership between Wangkhem Shamungou 27 and Ruhit Nongmaithem 53 .
Ruhit who produced an all round performance was adjudged man of the match.

The other Group A match scheduled at Lairenjam Public Ground saw YUCC earn a walkover victory over SDC.
At Moijing Public Ground, KCC-Kongba cruised to fourth straight Group B victory by overwhelming SU by 130 runs.
Unbeaten half centuries from Thokchom Momocha 68 and Hijam Boba 55 after Nongmaithem Dijaraj's 23 took KCC to an innings total of 189 runs for three wickets after they elected to bat first.
But only T Lenin 20 and S Rabichandra 11 could score double digit runs for SU in the chase as Singthoi Nandeibam (4/14) and Yumnam Sheitendra (2/4) rattled their batting line up and held them for 59 all out.
Elsewhere at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Blue Hawk-Khurai trounced KSDO-Kyamgei by 7 wickets for the fourth straight Group D victory.
KSDO amassed 131/8 after electing to bat first thanks to Khushru Pravez 48, Md Arif Khan 22 and Md Raish 20 but Blue Hawk chased down the target in 18.4 overs with 7 wickets left to spare as Mutum Sudhir hit a half century (53 off 39 balls) and Mintu Chandra added 29 .
Semsom Soibam was the pick of the Blue Hawk bowlers finishing with 3/20 while his team mate Samsung Soibam finished with 2/37 .
Meanwhile UCC registered their fourth Group C win by beating YPHUC by 66 runs at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College Ground.
UCC posted 181/4 after electing to bat first as Haobam Ajitkumar scored a 37-ball 52 and T Amarjit 44 and Durgesh Sharma 35 not out made significant contributions and held YPHUC to 115/8 in the chase.
YPHUC's Ng Vedanth starred with the bowling figures of 3/36 before Amrendra Prasad Gupta 31 and Moirangthem Thomas 24 put in a brave effort in the chase.
Laishram Bushan (2/20) picked two wickets for UCC as four others picked a wicket apiece.
