MAYOL's long march reaches capital

Imphal, January 05 2024:
After resuming from Malom on the 17th day, the long march of Manipur Youth League (MAYOL) for 'National Regeneration' halted for the day at Sagolband Moirang Hanuba Leirak, Imphal West district on Friday.
The march resumed from Megha School, Malom around 8.40 am and rallied along Tiddim road towards Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi community hall where a public meeting was held.
The public meeting organised by Youth Rising Star Club and Chanura Kanba Lup was attended by senior journalist A Mobi and MIU dean Dr Th Chandramani as key speakers.
After the brief halt, the marchers continued their journey and stopped for the day at Sagolband Moirang Hanuba Leirak, where the second public meeting for the day was held.
Advocate L Jadumani, Editors' Guild Manipur president Khogendra Khomdram and KSA president Sukham Bidyananda spoke on different issues during the meeting.
It may be mentioned that MAYOL's long march for national regeneration began on December 20 and will conclude on January 9 at Canchipur by convening a national assembly where several resolutions are expected to be adopted.
There will be discussion on important issues including identification of elements inimical to Manipur's integrity and threat posed to the society, working out strategies to tackle such forces by categorically framing national policies and programmes and the roles of the people.
