4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T20 Trophy : Reolin picks six as SHADOW thrash THAU by 40 runs

SHADOW-Thangmeiband and CDCC-Sagolband Salam Leikai registered wins in today's Group B and C matches of the ongoing 4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T20 Trophy.
At Lairenjam Public Ground, SHADOW racked up 157 runs for 9 wickets and bowled out THAU for 117 runs within 17.5 overs for the 40-run victory thanks to Reolin who enjoyed a six-wicket haul.
Kh Devis 45 off 42 balls, Reolin Oinam 24 off 12 balls, Sagatpam Lanchenba 19 off 18 balls and RK Nishikanta 16 off 12 balls were the main run getters for SHADOW after they won the toss opted to bat first.
The innings saw RK Thapa of THAU fetching three wickets for 14 runs and Khumukcham Romesh grabbing two wickets for 20 runs.

In the chase, THAU had a dismal start losing first four wickets within 5.3 overs with Reolin wreaking havoc with his prolific bowling to claim the first three wickets including two in the third over and RK Nishikanta claiming the fourth wicket.
Khumukcham Romesh 39 and Malesh Kumar Ngangbam 14 tried to set things right for THAU but Yaiphaba Laishram and Sagatpam Lanchenba claimed a wicket apiece to reduce them to 73/6 before Nishikanta completed his double by bowling out Kh Romesh 39 for the seventh wicket.
Reolin Oinam then swept the tailenders cheaply to return with the best figures of 6/13 in 3.5 overs and deservingly bagged the man of the match accolade.
Meanwhile, CDCC chased down a 118 run target set up by KSDO, Kyamgei for the third win in five matches at Luwangpokpa Cricket stadium.
After winning the toss, KSDO elected to bat first but were bundled out for 117 runs in 19.5 overs and CDCC took 18.4 overs to reach 120 for the victory.
Nawaz Sharif led the KSDO scoring before he succumbed to Mutum Jodiba for 47 runs after Ataur Rahman dismissed two crucial wickets.
Jodiba went on to dismiss two more batters to return with the best figures of 3/14 as Fm Sharif claimed the last two batters to set up KSDO collapse at 117 .
In the chase, Konjengbam Monish 13, Priyojit Narengbam 14 and Thounaojam Rakesh 12 gave CDCC a slow start before Ksh Robert 43 and Md Ataur Rahaman 31 stitched an unbeaten 72 off 70 balls for the fourth wicket to take the team to winning 120 in 18.4 overs.
Ataur Rahaman was eventually adjudged man of the match.
Meanwhile, SSU and YWC-Patsoi got walkovers as their rivals did not turn up at the venues.
