Octogenarian robbed and killed

Unknown miscreants robbed and slit the throat of an 80-year old woman in Pechi area under Yairipok Police Station on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Keisham Radhe (80) w/o (L) Keisham Chaoba of Pechi Awang Leikai.
As per information shared by the bereaved family members, Radhe used to stay at the house of one of her sons at Yairipok Bamon Leikai.
On Monday afternoon, she left the residence to go back to her original home in Pechi, where her older sons lived.
At around 4pm, the daughter in-law of Radhe's oldest son returned from the farm and found the door of the house ajar.
She went inside to see who had left the door open but found the lifeless body of Radhe lying in the kitchen with her throat slit and her earrings, which were about 3 sans, found missing.
A team of Yairipok Police and forensic experts arrived at the scene and conducted an inquest of the body, which was later deposited at JNIMS morgue for post-mortem examination.
Police have also registered a case in this regard.
