WY tablets, heroin seized

Security forces seized 46 kilograms of WY tablets and 45 soap cases of heroin from separate places, today.
While personnel of 20 Assam Rifles seized the large consignment of WY tablets worth around Rs 20 crore in the international market from Khudengthabi along Imphal-Moreh road today at around 12.30 pm, a team of NAB officials confiscated 45 soap cases of heroin weighing about 581 gram from three persons along Maphou Dam road near the Forest office at Napet Palli in Imphal East.
It is reported that the WY tablets were brought from Moreh side in a Mahindra Bolero bearing Assam Registration number.
The person who brought the WY tablets has been identified as J Alanson Lamkang (36), s/o J Rengshote of Lamkang Khunou in Tengnoupal district while those who were arrested along with the heroin have been identified as Fullmoon Kashung (37), s/o Tangamba Kashung, Thangjingpikpi village, Senapati; CT Jackson (43) s/o CT Simthar of Kasom Khullen, Ukhrul and Ningshen Joy (40), s/o Ningshen of Nambasi Khullen in Ukhrul district, said sources.
The man arrested along with the WY tablets has been handed over to Moreh police station while the three others who brought the heroin have been handed over to NAB police station, sources further said.
