Imphal, October 11 2023: Taking strong exception to the frequent attack on oil tankers along Imphal-Silchar road, dealers of retail outlets (petrol pumps) in Manipur have resolved to close all petrol pumps on October 13 .

The resolution was taken during a meeting of the dealers of retail outlets today.

The meeting discussed the rampant extortion and assault/attacks on transporters along Imphal-Silchar highway.

Further, the meeting also discussed the difficulties being faced in running petrol pumps mostly due to monetary demands.

As per a statement issued by Dealers of ROs (Petrol Pumps), sale of petrol and diesel has reduced considerably after the violence broke out due to various factors including imposition of bandh, curfew and blockades.
