"Langban Heisoi Thaba" rituals to be organised

The Athoubasingi Liklam Thiba Lup Manipur has announced that it will be organising a "Langban Heisoi Thaba" ritual for the martyrs of Manipur on October 14, 2023, at Leng Ondabi Pat (lake) located in Cachar district of Assam.
Addressing a press conference today at Manipur Press Club, Athoubasingi Liklam Thiba Lup Manipur president Tekcham Nando stated that Leng Ondabi Pat located at Cachar district was named after the commitment of Maharaja Nara Singh who played an important part in winning back the land from Awa during the Seven Years Devastation (1819 to 1826) period.
He shared that Athoubasingi Liklam Thiba Lup Manipur in collaboration with Leng Ondabi Pat Protection & Preservation Committee Cachar, United Clubs Organisation Lakhipur and Manipuri Chanura Khonjei Lup Cachar will be organising a "Langban Heisoi Thaba" ritual on October 14 at the historical site of Leng Ondabi Pat to offer prayers and other oblations to the brave heroes who had made the supreme sacrifice for the motherland since the time of Seven Years' Devastation till 2023 .
He continued that a poem recitation session will also conducted as part of the event.
Nando further informed that a 17-member team of Athoubasingi Liklam Thiba Lup Manipur will be leaving Imphal tomorrow to make necessary preparations for the event.
Meanwhile, the Universal Friendship Organisation (UFO) has also be organising a "Langban Heisoi Thaba" ritual at "Lilong Erong Ahum Phangba" on October 13, 2023 .
In a release, UFO appealed to the public to participate in the ritual to pay tribute to the brave heroes who gave their lives for the cause of the motherland in the present conflict.
