Weeklong Student Induction Programme commences at Moirang College

Moirang, September 15 2023: The weeklong programme of Deeksharambh: Student Induction Programme (SIP) for Moirang College began yesterday organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) .

The Student Induction Programme (SIP) is being held with an objective to create the sense of socialising, associating, governing and experiencing amongst the newly students admitted in the first semester of the Four Years Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) under the NEP 2020, said a press release by the College Principal.

The inaugural session of the SIP was graced by former faculty of the college Y Modhu Singh as the chief guest, Associate Professor of Education Department N Joy Singh as the guest of honour while the Principal of the College Dr Md Raheijuddin Sheikh presided over the function.

During the weeklong programme which will continue till September 20, 2023, students from various backgrounds shall showcase their innate talents as envisaged in the recommendations of the NEP 2020 .

As a part of the ongoing induction programme, the College will observe 'World Ozone Day' on September 16, 2023 (tomorrow) by conducting ex-tempore and quiz competitions to be organised by the Science Club of the college at the conference hall on the theme 'Fixing the Ozone Layer and Reducing Climate Change' .

Those students who were found absent in the previous days of the SIP due to the prevailing law and order situation in the area may report for their attendance on the observance of the World Ozone Day, added the release.
