DC Thoubal announces progs for Ayushmaan Bhava

In accordance with the nationwide fortnight long 'Ayushmaan Bhava' campaign launched by President Droupadi Murmu on September 13, Thoubal deputy commissioner Ahanthem Subhash on Friday announced the schedule of various programme to be taken up in Thoubal under the campaign.
Addressing the media, Subhash informed that as part of the campaign Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) health cards will be issued to eligible beneficiaries at district's Primary Health Centres (PHCs) on Saturday, 'Chayolgi Mela' & screening camps for non-communicable diseases will be held at Health & Wellness Centres on September 18 and screening camps for communicable diseases such as leprosy & tuberculosis (TB) will be organised on September 22.He continued that an eye care service will be conducted at Community Health Centre (CHC), Heirok on September 25; a health mela will be organised at CHC, Yairipok on September 29 and Ayushmann Sabhas will be held in every gram panchayat of the district on October 2.DC Thoubal also mentioned that awareness programmes on organ and blood donation will be held during the campaign.
Stating that Ayushmaan Bhava campaign se,eks to fulfil the Healthy Village objective of the Sustainable Development Goals of India which it aims to achieve by 2030, he appealed to the public to extend their support to the campaign.
The press conference was also attended by chief medical officer (CMO) Thoubal Dr Y Nokul; district transfusion medicine senior specialist Dr L Dorendro; District Hospital, Thoubal medical superintendent Dr W Ruhinikumar; and other officials.
