Relief items distributed to camp residents

Thoubal, November 08 2023:
Thoubal district administration and District Child Protection Unit, Thoubal on Wednesday provided winter clothes for inmates, who are in the age group of 18 years and below, staying in relief camps in the district.
The clothes were distributed to 423 inmates of relief camps opened at Wangjing Kodompokpi Sports Complex, Lamding Higher Secondary School and Khangabok Rice Research Station by Thoubal DC Ahanthem Subhash, District Child Protection Officer Konjengbam Anita and Legal cum Probation officer M Reena Chanu.
Ramakrishna Mission Imphal also handed over blankets to inmates of relief camps opened under the aegis of Imphal East DC in Andro assembly constituency.
Two blankets each were distributed to every family taking shelter in the relief camps opened at Yambem Girls Hostel Relief Camp, Ramananda High School Angtha, Laimanai Tampak Thongkhong Primary School, Yambem High School Boarding, PHC Quarter Yambem, MLA Residence Yambem and Loupaochum High School Andro.
Along with the blankets, edibles for lactating women and infants were also provided.
Meanwhile, children of Thoubal handed over relief materials to the inmates staying in the relief camps opened at Tanjeng Mangjing and Serou.
The relief materials were purchased through donations made by locals of Thoubal Okram.
The relief materials included utensils, potatoes, onions, dal, rice, dried fish, soaps, blankets, clothes, socks and vegetables.
