Many continue to extend humanitarian aid

Relief materials were distributed to the internally displaced people (IDP) staying at Wangkhei High School Relief Camp today under the guidance of MPCC president K Meghachandra, CLP leader (Manipur) Okram Ibobi Singh, CWC member (AICC) Gaikhangam and other senior leaders.
MPCC secretaries Gunamani and Ram Prakash; Achoibam Deben, PCC member (Lamlai AC); Popilal, president Youth Congress; Dayananda Sharma, president City DCC; office bearers & members of YBCC and Wangkhei Apunba Nupi Lup also attended the programme.
27 Jumbo cargo bags and relief materials were distributed at the relief camp.
Meanwhile, Kongkham Jemon Singh Foundation, Mayang Imphal Thana Awang Leikai under the supervision of MANIDCO Chairman and Mayang Imphal AC MLA Kongkham Robindro Singh today distributed blankets & clothes as winter gifts to the IDP taking shelter at the relief camp opened in Laphupat Tera High School.
The Foundation also felicitated displaced students who secured good marks at the examination conducted by Laphupat Tera High School and presented a sum of Rs 500 each to all the displaced people staying in the camp.
A feast was also held as part of the function.
The gathering led by Kongkham Robindro Singh also offered floral tributes and observed two minutes of silence to pay respect to the brave heroes who gave their lives in the present conflict.
Kongkham Jemon Singh Foundation founder Kongkham Manglem and his wife Kongkham Ongbi Ranjana, BJP Mayang Imphal Mandal president Irom Rabi, Laphupat Tera GP pradhan N Basata, Mayang Imphal PS, SDPO, Bimol and OC, Nabajivan also took part in the event.
