Annual conference of Manipur Radiological Society held

The first annual conference of Manipur Radiological Society, CONRAD, 2023 was held at the Jubilee Hall of RIMS, Lamphelpat, here, on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering as chief guest, health & IPR minister Dr Sapam Ranjan said that the idea of radiology and its importance in health care has been increasing day by day.
There has been a transformation in the chronicle of radiology of late.
Digitisation has replaced the conventional method of technology.
Conventional X-Ray has also been replaced by digital X-Ray today, he added.
The minister maintained that there were limited numbers of radiologists in the state.
But the number has been increased to its satisfaction gradually.
Noting that Manipur has well qualified radiologists, he called upon junior radiologists to consult and take advice from the seniors for a bright career.
Regarding rapid progress of radio diagnosis due to patients' safety prioritised by every medical professional, Dr Ranjan also stressed on the importance of coordination amongst medical professionals and called upon the medical fraternity to look forward to an exceptional change in digital revolution.
The minister also assured of looking into the problem of shortage radiological technicians in the state.
CONRAD 2023 organising chairman Dr S Subhaschandra presided over the function while RIMS director professor G Sunil Kumar, JNIMS medical superintendent professor H Lokeshwar and RIMS medical superintendent professor N Sanjeeb attended as guests of honour.
Meritorious certificates were also distributed to outstanding PG students of RIMS as a part of the function.
